Anyone know what happened to the post in question? Is there a link to the law/article that talks about importing berkeys into california somewhere?

It looks like theberkeyguy is now banned too? I'd ask him via PM directly, but looks like that isn't an option now...

I think theberkeyguy got flushed for spamming. He did a lot of personal advertising here, and at many other fora (Google him). His last post was about three days ago, and two of his threads are gone.

I haven't heard a credible thing about changes in California law or regulation about water filters/purification, and the only claim for such changes appears to be sourced from him on this and other websites.

Its a shame that he got banned. I never noticed any obtuse spamming and I thought he was always VERY helpful with any berkey questions...

It was nice to hear from the dealers perspective and he answered a lot of questions on here about them :-(

I hope he can figure out a way to get unbanned...

His latest post was about an amazing deal (ALMOST 5% OFF a $275 filter) he was having on his website.

Why the sarcasm? Isn't 5%...well 5%? Everyone likes to save money! I know I'd buy the same product the cheapest place I could find...You're just stupid if you pay more for the same thing...


Anyways back on topic...does anyone have a link or anything to my original question about not shipping to CA? Was that some sort of internal Berkey distributer memo only?

yes he was banned by me,

for spamming the site,

finally caught up to him,

it is one thing to have your website link in your sig, but quite another going around the forums talking about your great deals,

others over time have also fallen under this, very respected members .......

a lot of us have put up our money to keep this place ad free, and he was getting a free ride,

and yes, we can argue others all day long, but this one started doing multiple threads, and advertising deals on his own,

anyway, this thread is closed now that you all know what is up.
